Small Hours Trio

Join us for an afternoon of music ft. Small Hours Trio!

When they're not touring the country with Buffalo Rose, Margot Jezerc, Bryce Rabideau, and Jason Rafalak get in touch with the jazzier side of their musical personalities. The result is Small Hours, an unconventional and lively tribute to swing era greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, and Sarah Vaughan.

Bios:

Margot-
Margot Jezerc is a vocalist with Buffalo Rose and attended Duquesne University’s Mary Pappert School of Music. Jazz is one of her great loves. The records of Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Astrud Gilberto, and Sarah Vaughan have had a pronounced influence on her phrasing and tone. A balladeer at heart, she is endlessly excited to join Rabideau and Rafalak in Small Hours.

Jason-
Jason Rafalak plays acoustic and electric bass, and has been in high demand for performance and session work in the Pittsburgh area for over a decade. His 100+ album credits include work with jazz and funk drummer Poogie Bell, Appalachian folk duo The Early Mays, singer Joy Ike, and Buffalo Rose.

Bryce-
Bryce Rabideau holds a degree in jazz guitar performance from Duquesne University. His recent compositions and arrangements can be found in the radio drama Ms. Palmer’s Honey and educational programming from Pittsburgh-based startup Codejoy. He plays mandolin with Buffalo Rose as well as his progressive string trio Meanwhile.
