MARK STRICKLAND is an American guitarist influenced by Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Joe Pass, and jazz and R&B legends. Mark began playing in 1963 in Pittsburgh, PA, mentored by regional R&B and jazz greats.
Some of the many singers and musicians that Mark has performed with over the years include Grady Tate, Groove Holmes, Michelle Benson, John Heard and Gene Ludwig. Also an accomplished sound engineer, Mark has produced and/or engineered projects for musicians both regionally and nationally, including Dizzy Gillespie, Dakota Staton, Tommy Flanagan, and Jimmy Smith
JESSICA LEE is an American Jazz & Blues singer with a unique voice influenced by Jazz, Blues, Rhythm & Blues and Inspirational music. She performs "Classic," "Contemporary" and "Crossover" Jazz & Blues, and has produced shows with innovative, customized themes for charity performances and for concerts at theaters, festivals, jazz & blues clubs, arts centers and country & urban clubs throughout the country. Jessica has had the pleasure of writing, recording and performing with wonderfully talented musicians, including a long collaboration with guitar great Mark Strickland and with some of her favorite Jazz mentors.
HUGO CRUZ AND CAMINOS released an album in February 2022 called Punto de Partida, featuring many notable musicians from Cuba and the U.S., recording eight of Hugo’s original compositions. In May 2022 Caminos was the Jazz Band headliner for the Westsylvania Jazz and Blues Festival in Indiana PA. Caminos also have been performing a concert series called, “The Voice of Drums”, which brings many great drummers from the Pittsburgh area such as: Roger Humphries, Poogie Bell, Tubby Daniels, Noel Quintana, Dennis Gardner, Jeff Berman, and James Johnson III, to join Camino’s way of expressing music.
There will be a $5 cover to support Live Music Programming.
