At Kingfly Distillery, we are excited to support local arts and jazz initiatives and consider our venue to be one of the city’s rising destinations for ongoing Jazz programming. Live! at Kingfly will take place each Thursday from 7-10pm, unless noted otherwise on our website or social media. A $10 suggested donation will be collected at the door in support of music programming at Kingfly.

Rick Matt is a top freelance Saxophone/Woodwind Specialist in the Pittsburgh Area. He has toured both nationally and internationally with Maynard Ferguson, Broadway Shows ( Ain't Misbehavin, Smokey Joe's Cafe and Sophisticated Lady), Dumpstaphunk, Tony Bennett, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The O'Jays, The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and many more. Now in addition to leading his own groups in and out of the Pittsburgh area, he is a member of The Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra and a founding member of the Steeltown Horns. He also is on adjunct faculty at CAPA school for the arts here in Pittsburgh. With his big sound and versatile playing Rick Matt brings tons of energy to the bandstand on every performance!

Trombonist, pianist and composer Reggie Watkins has released three recordings as leader. From 1999 to 2006 he served as trombonist and musical director for trumpeter and band leader Maynard Ferguson and from 2008 to 2013 with grammy winner Jason Mraz. Now in addition to leading his own groups, he is a member of Orrin Evans' Captain Black Big Band, The Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra, Postmodern Jukebox, and a founding member of Steeltown Horns and The Keystone Jazz Collective.
